D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center Selects Kelli Neptune as Incoming Executive Director
Washington, D.C. (April 24, 2022) – The D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center recently selected Kelli Neptune as its new incoming Executive Director. Neptune will join D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center from her current role as the Director of Externships and Public Interest Programming at Howard University School of Law. Prior to her current role, Neptune worked 12 years in private practice representing clients in family and criminal law matters.
After graduating from Emory University School of Law in 1997, Neptune spent almost ten years Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia (PDS), first as a staff attorney, then as supervisor and later senior deputy trial chief in the Trial Division. Neptune is the current co-chair of the Association of American Law Schools’ Section on Pro Bono and Public Service Opportunities’ Education Enrichment Committee and manager and former board member of her family’s Artishia and Frederick Jordan Scholarship Fund.
