Adriana Abbasi joined Sterling Martin Associates in 2024 as an Executive Recruiter. She brings over 10 years of executive search experience with WittKieffer, helping the firm grow, adapt, and modernize solutions. She focuses on startups, healthcare, and client communications.
Before joining SMA, Adriana gained a broad knowledge of working in healthcare and helping startups acquire the right talent for mergers and acquisitions. In 2021, after Cigna acquired MDLIVE, Adriana moved into leadership development, helping private equity clients like the Carlyle Group find the right assessments and assessors during the due diligence process phase or solidify succession plans. She later worked as the vice president of talent.
She began her career in employment-based visa and immigration sponsorship, working for legal firms in Dallas, Texas. There, she was exposed to high-level executives, job analysis, and USCIS programs and policies. Her exposure to much-needed technology talent and senior leaders paved the way to helping organizations through best practices in search.
Adriana holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Ohio and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a minor in Marketing from the University of North Texas. She lives in Chicago with her husband and children.
