Sterling Martin (SM) is a national executive search firm founded in 2006 by CEO and Founder, David Martin.
Sterling Martin specializes in working with associations and nonprofit organizations in different sectors including healthcare, education, financial, scientific and engineering organizations. With roots in global firm expertise, SM operates with the agility and precision of a specialized partner—offering nationwide service without sacrificing quality or cost-efficiency.
Our Growth
Our partners and consultants bring extensive experience across association, nonprofit, and for-profit management to every client engagement. Many of our team members also serve as volunteers on nonprofit governing boards, deepening our understanding of leadership and governance challenges from the inside out.
This combination of hands-on executive leadership, governance insight, and executive search expertise gives us a unique perspective on the complexities of recruiting senior talent. With prior experience at global firms such as Korn/Ferry International, Heidrick and Struggles and Boyden International, our team offers clients the strategic depth of a global firm within the responsive and agile structure of a mid-sized search firm.
We stay at the forefront of sector trends and best practices through active participation in leading industry organizations such as the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives (CESSE).
