Diane Enos Joins ASMBS as Executive Director
Washington, D.C. (August 17, 2023) The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) has named Diane Enos as its next Executive Director. Enos brings more than 20 years of experience as an association professional, most recently serving as Executive Director and Chief Learning Officer at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In this capacity, Enos provided strategic leadership to more than 600 annual educational and eLearning programs, as well as the overall vision, planning, revenue, governance, and global relationships of the organization. She will begin her new role at ASMBS on August 21.
Her additional experience at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics includes serving as Vice President/Director of Professional Development and Assessment. From there she was promoted to Vice President of Lifelong Learning and Professional Engagement, where she oversaw academy-wide professional practice efforts and launched the organization’s first comprehensive learning management system.
Enos earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Nutrition from Benedictine University, a Master of Public Health degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and is slated to receive her Doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California in 2024. Additionally, she is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (FAND), and a Registered Dietitian (RDN).
