Washington, DC (November 11, 2019) – After conducting a national search on behalf of the Valve Manufacturers Association, Sterling Martin Associates is pleased to announce Heather Rhoderick joins the VMA as the Association’s new President.
Rhoderick has 24 years of experience working with associations, with 20 of those years working with manufacturing groups. She joins VMA from her most recent role as Senior VP of Events and Information for the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) whose membership is comprised of large Fortune 500 companies as well as smaller family-owned businesses. She joined ACMA as Director of Conventions and Meetings in 2008 and was promoted to her role as Senior VP in 2013.
In her new role as President of VMA, Rhoderick is the chief staff executive of the association responsible for the association’s financial stewardship, member relations, general management, programs, communications, management information services, international trade, and government relations.
Rhoderick holds a MBA from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She is certified by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) as a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and by the Conventions and Industry Council as a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP). Rhoderick spent two years as a Meetings and Expositions Committee Member ASAE and is currently on the City of Dallas Customer Advisory Board.
