Washington, D.C. (November 8, 2024) –The International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) welcomes David Grindle as its next President and CEO. His tenure is slated to begin January 1, 2025.
Grindle brings impressive experience in both association leadership and event production to the organization. He has served as Executive Director of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers and the United States Institute for Theatre Technology. Grindle’s prior roles also include Production Manager and Instructor at the Indiana University Department of Theatre and Drama, as well as Production Stage Manager and Orchestra Manager at The Atlanta Opera.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in music from Berry College and a master’s degree from the Indiana University School of Music. Grindle is a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
He has received numerous honors throughout this career, including Trade Show Manager of the Year. Additionally, Grindle is an accomplished public speaker and has given guest lectures and speeches at events around the world.
