The International Society for Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC) recently appointed Jessica Noel Homa as its new Executive Director.
Homa brings over 20 years of leadership experience working with scientific, nonprofit, and member-based organizations. She is recognized for driving strategic growth, strengthening international engagement, and ensuring operational efficiency.
Before joining ISAC, Jessica served as the Executive Director of the Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine (SEBM) for more than a decade. Under her leadership, SEBM expanded its global presence with the launch of three international editorial offices and the creation of an annual interdisciplinary scientific conference, bringing together researchers from diverse fields.
Jessica earned an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with concentrations in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland, where she was honored as a scholar-athlete.
