NYSSCPA Selects Amy Williams as New Chief Operating Officer

Washington, D.C. (July 20, 2023) The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) welcomes Amy Williams as its next Chief Operating Officer. Williams brings more than 28 years of leadership experience in professional associations to the role. Her first day at NYSSCPA will be July 24.

Most recently, Williams was Vice President of Consulting & Strategic Initiatives at Association Headquarters, Inc., where she provided operational and strategic guidance to a number of organizations–for example, the Society for Foodservice Management and the American Association for Aerosol Research. Her additional experience includes serving as Executive Director of the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce and President of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce Executives. 

Additionally, Williams is an active and accomplished volunteer leader. She was President of the Mid-Atlantic Society of Association Executives (MASAE) in 2016 and is currently a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Diversity and Inclusion Committee and Research Foundation Research Committee.

Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Messiah University and a master’s degree in public administration from Pennsylvania State University. She is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and also completed the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organization Management (IOM) program.
