Washington, D.C. (November 30, 2020) – The Houston Apartment Association welcomes Casey Morgan as their new Executive Director. Morgan brings 15 years of experience in government affairs and nonprofit management, most recently as the executive of the Houston home builders’ organization. She is an active member of many Houston-area housing and community development organizations.
Prior to joining HAA, Morgan served as the Executive Vice President & CEO of the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA), the fourth-largest home builders organization in the country.
In 2007, she worked with the Bush Administration and was hired by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Office of Governmental Affairs as the Associate Director of Governmental Affairs. She was the department’s liaison to 10 southeastern states, including Texas. In 2008, she was promoted to Policy Assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Transportation, a role in which she provided daily briefings to the Secretary on new initiatives and legislative developments. Morgan is appreciative of her White House professional experience as a major accomplishment that helped shape her future professional opportunities.
