Washington, DC (June 19, 2019) – Sterling Martin Associates is pleased to announce the successful national search led for 340B Health’s new Senior Vice President of Operations has culminated with the appointment of Patrick McGary.
Professionally, McGary’s experience includes over 28 years within a variety of industries including trade association, professional membership association, and hospitality. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
McGary has deep operations experience in the association sector, including eight years as the Chief Operating Officer for the American Society for Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition with an additional three years as Chief Operating Officer at Heart Failure Society of America.
After graduating with his Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management from the University of Massachusetts in 1990, McGary embarked on a career in the hospitality industry. Over the next eight years, he moved ten times, managing hotels around the country. In 1999, he decided to pursue a career with less travel and relocation- and thus began his work in the association world.

340B Health is a 501 (c)(6), membership organization of more than 1,300 public and private nonprofit hospitals and health systems in the federal 340B drug pricing program. The organization has a revenue budget in the $11 million range, a staff of 28 and a 15-member Board of Directors. 340B formed in 1993 to increase the affordability and accessibility of pharmaceutical and clinical care for the nation’s poor and underserved populations.
340B Health monitors, educates, and serves as an advocate on federal legislative and regulatory issues related to drug pricing and other pharmacy matters affecting safety-net providers. Their membership consists of a broad spectrum of hospitals, including academic medical centers, community hospitals, children’s hospitals, and rural facilities.
