ABFAS Welcomes Scott Morgan as New Chief Information Officer

Washington, D.C. (August 5, 2024) – The American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) has chosen Scott Morgan as its new Chief Information Officer. His tenure started on August 1, 2024.

Morgan brings extensive information technology, operations, and leadership expertise to the role. He joins ABFAS from the Professional Photographers of America, where he was Director of Technology and Administration for 12 years. His prior positions include serving as Director of Information Technology at Bass Underwriters and in a variety of roles at Southern Insurance Underwriters, Inc., including Business Process Manager and Assistant Vice President.   

Morgan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Delta State University. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Georgia Society of Association Executives (GSAE), and Technology Association of Georgia (TAG).

Founded in 1975, ABFAS works to protect and improve the health and welfare of the public by advancing the art and science of podiatric (foot and ankle) surgery. ABFAS facilitates the board certification process, from preparing and supporting candidates for certification to helping members maintain their certification.
