Innovation and Value Initiative Foundation (IVI) Hires New Director of Communications

Washington, D.C. (December 17, 2020) – Innovation and Value Initiative Foundation (IVI) recently hired Todd Bentsen as their new Director of Communications. Bentsen’s professional experience includes more than 27 years within nonprofit communications, specifically within the health and science sectors. Prior to joining IVI, Bentsen spent three years serving as Director, Marketing and Communications for the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB). During his time with FASEB, Bentsen was the managing editor for Washington Update, a news blog featuring advocacy and science policy activities. He also managed media relations for The FASEB Journal, and planned and launched the NSF Matters campaign, advocating greater federal support for the National Science Foundation.

Bentsen began his professional career in 1993 at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). He went on to hold leadership positions at American Society of Clinical Oncology, Society for Neuroscience, and Georgetown University Medical Center. He holds a B.S. in Communications from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
