Kara Fitzgerald Takes on President and CEO role for the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants
Washington D.C. (April 12, 2021) – Kara Fitzgerald, CPA, CAE, CGMA has taken on the role of President and CEO for The Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). Fitzgerald takes on this new role after serving in a variety of leadership roles within the organization for ten years, most recently as TSCPA’s VP of Operations.
Fitzgerald played an integral role in creating deeper value for members by leading TSCPA through initiatives that have boosted efficiency and effectiveness, improved its fiscal stewardship, and enhanced and expanded delivery of beneficial services/programs.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting from the Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville, TN. She received her CPA certification from the state of Tennessee.
The Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), headquartered outside Nashville in Brentwood, TN, is the premier representative of the CPA profession in Tennessee, currently serving approximately 10,000 members. Its mission is to enhance the success of members through service, support, and advocacy. TSCPA is a nonprofit membership association with eight chapters across Tennessee. It operates a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, the Educational & Memorial Foundation of TSCPA.
