Kevin Letz Named CEO for AANPCB
Washington, D.C. (September 19, 2024) – The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) is pleased to announce Dr. Kevin Letz as its next CEO. His tenure begins on October 14, 2024.
Currently serving as AANPCB’s Director of Certification, Letz brings extensive leadership, clinical practice, and academic experience to the CEO role. His previous positions include System Vice President at Bon Secours Mercy Health, Vice President at Sound Physicians, Director of Advanced Practice and Director of Professional Practice at Stanford Children’s Health/Stanford University Medical Center, and Chief Nursing Officer of Allergy and Immunology at The Allergy and Asthma Center, P.C. Letz has also held key positions at Adtalem Global Education, including Dean and Director of Graduate Programs.
Letz earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Purdue University, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of St. Francis, a Master of Business Administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Rush University. He holds many board certifications, including Emergency Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Adult Nurse Practitioner. Letz is licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in 11 states.
He has founded clinics and nonprofit organizations, published numerous books and research studies, and is a frequent presenter. Additionally, Letz currently serves as President of the American Board of Nursing Specialties.
