Washington, D.C. (November 20, 2020) – The American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) welcomes Margaret Lyons to their organization as their new Program Manager – Continuous Certification. Lyons joins ABFAS after eight years serving in a variety of roles for Project Management Institute (PMI).
Most recently Lyons worked as a Product Specialist (Exam Developer II) for PMI. In this position, she was responsible for advancing the development of the company’s largest credential examination by facilitating workshops with over 500 global subject matter experts up to 11 times a year globally (Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia-Pacific).
As the Program Manager-Continuous Certification, Lyons will oversee the successful design, planning, implementation, rollout, and ongoing management of the continuous certification process. Lyons will manage all aspects of the program lifecycle- coordinating the work of senior-level managers, directors, ABFAS Diplomates, and other team members. She will support the work of the Examinations Preparation Task Force, a group that focuses on developing board preparation materials for ABFAS qualification and certification candidates.
