NCBA Hires Elizabeth Terry As New Executive Director

Washington, DC (October 3, 2019) – Sterling Martin Associates is pleased to announce the hire of Elizabeth Terry as new Executive Director for the National Creditors Bar Association. Terry was chosen for this position through SMA’s comprehensive national search process on behalf of NCBA.

Terry’s professional career spans approximately 18 years in nonprofit and trade associations, corporations, and foundations, including eight years in the financial services sector. Most recently she has served as the Vice President, Business Practices and Membership Engagement for the Investment Advisors Association (IAA), a trade association of approximately 650 investment advisor firms that are registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Through her leadership experience, Terry has developed a strong management style that fosters and rewards teamwork and collegiality. She believes strongly in transparency and open conversation between the CEO and Board; as well as open dialogue between the executive leadership and the staff. Terry is a strong proponent in providing the appropriate resources, mentorship and professional development opportunities for staff- as well as recognizing her staff for their accomplishments.

Terry is a member of the American Society of Association Executives. She holds a BA in Economics and Psychology from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.

The National Creditors Bar Association (NCBA) located in University Park, FL. NCBA is a trade association dedicated to serving law firms engaged in the practice of creditors rights law both in state and federal courts. Originally founded in 1993 as the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys (NARCA) the organization has grown to become the pre-eminent association for the creditors rights attorney.  NCBA has broadened its membership base to include firms practicing in foreclosure, bankruptcy and other areas.
