Jerod Breit

Delta Chi Appoints New Executive Director

WASHINGTON, DC (December 18, 2018) – After an extensive search led by Sterling Martin Associates, the Delta Chi Fraternity Board of Regents has selected Jerod Breit as the Fraternity’s 10th Jerod BreitExecutive Director and CEO, effective December 29, 2018.

“I am honored and humbled for the opportunity to continue a life in service to others,” Breit said. “Our future as a close association depends on intentional growth, providing our members with opportunity and celebrating what makes each of our brothers unique, all while coming together as one common brotherhood, sharing in one common bond. I am ecstatic for the opportunity to serve during the next chapter of our historic chronicle that is our beloved Fraternity.”

Breit attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Business Management. He was initiated into Delta Chi on November 10, 2000. Upon graduation, Breit worked in business management, sales and marketing for Applebee’s International, SYSCO Foods and the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.

In January 2017, Breit joined the Delta Chi International Headquarters as the Director of Member Safety, implementing a violation reduction strategy focused on enforcement, outreach, innovation and education. At the end of spring 2018, the Fraternity saw a 44% reduction in overall violations and a 77% decrease in incidents of hazing across its 118 chapters and colonies. In August 2018, Jerod was appointed by the Executive Committee as the Interim Executive Director and swiftly began forward momentum in the progress toward achieving the Fraternity’s Strategic Initiatives.

“The selection committee had a number of very qualified applications and Jerod’s strategic vision, operational experience, dedication to our Fraternity’s values and passion for service will all benefit Delta Chi in the years ahead,” Aaron Otto, Kansas State ’98, and Delta Chi International President said.

This is an exciting time for the Fraternity. Delta Chi is in the middle of implementing a five-year strategic plan which will create and cultivate a lifelong, values-based fraternal experience focusing in the areas of alumni engagement, education, growth, and civic responsibility. Additionally, the Fraternity announced earlier this year its intention to move its international headquarters from Iowa City, Iowa to Indianapolis, Indiana.
