Hilarie Lally
Director of Communications
Hilarie joined Sterling Martin Associates in 2024 as a Director of Communications, bringing over twenty-five years of experience in the executive search field where she focused on public relations, marketing, as well as client communications.
Prior to joining SMA, Hilarie worked at The Works, a search firm located in Boston, and went on to open their Manhattan office, where she focused on new business, communications, and client management. She later worked as a Branch Manager and a Director of Marketing for two more placement firms. In 2014, she created a lifestyle brand and opened a brick and mortar retail store in Massachusetts, as well as an online presence. This experience shaped her in all respects. During COVID she partnered with Project Sunshine, a nonprofit organization that brings joy and play to pediatric patients through volunteer-led programming in various medical settings. She created a candle that helped raise money to build Kits for Play, arts and crafts delivered to children in hospital settings.
She began her career in public relations where she worked for PR firms in Boston. She was exposed to high level executives, tech analysts and reporters from across the globe. Having exposure to senior talent at a young age paved the way to working alongside many CEO’s to build strong relationships that exist today.
Hilarie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a Women’s Studies minor from SUNY Oswego. She lives in New York with her husband and three children. She enjoys tennis, skiing and traveling with her family.
