PSIA-AASI Names Peggy Hiller as Incoming CEO

Washington, D.C. (January 3, 2023) Margaret “Peggy” Hiller was recently named as the incoming CEO for the Professional Ski Instructors of America and American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI), effective January 16, 2023. Hiller is a snowsports-industry leader with over 30 years of professional experience, including 17 years leading operations and 15 years in complex human resource roles. She also serves on several nonprofit Boards in her community.

Previously, Hiller has been VP of Operations at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, located in Dillon, since October 2015. She began at Arapahoe Basin in 1997 when she was initially charged with starting an HR department from scratch. Hiller grew up in Denver and learned to ski on weekends at the Winter Park Resort’s Buffalo Ski Club. She has always enjoyed recreational skiing and the ease of access in Colorado. Later, she chose Smith College, in part for its strong study abroad program, and she spent time in Europe and learned French. In 1989, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Smith College and moved home to Denver.


Professional Ski Instructors of America and American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI), based in Lakewood, CO, is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit education association founded in 1961 to promote the sports of skiing and snowboarding through professional instruction. With over 32,000 members within its eight US regions, PSIA-AASI is the world’s largest organization dedicated to skiing and snowboarding. The organization establishes certification standards for snowsports instructors and develops education materials to be used as the core components of instructor training.
