Washington, D.C. (September 30, 2022) – The Mount Washington Observatory (MWOBS or Observatory) recently announced Dr. Drew Fulton Bush as the nonprofit institution’s new Executive Director. Bush began this role on September 26, 2022. Bush’s professional experience spans more than 11 years in a variety of organizations, including history and science education museums, higher education, an oceanographic institution, and a media organization.
Bush joins MWOBS from the Old Stone House Museum & Historic Village in Brownington, VT, where he was the Assistant Director. Bush has also directed various research projects with McGill University’s Department of Geography since 2011.
Bush is a Doctor of Philosophy, Science Education & Climate Change, a degree he received from McGill University. He previously received a Master of Environmental Management, Marine Science & Policy from Duke University.
