The National WIC Association Hires Jamila Taylor as Incoming President and CEO
Washington, D.C. (October 18, 2022) – The National WIC Association (NWA) recently hired Dr. Jamila Taylor as incoming President and CEO, effective November 14. Taylor has 25 years of professional experience in health policy, maternal health, and health equity in nonprofit organizations and on Capitol Hill.
Taylor joins NWA from the Century Foundation (TCF) where she served as the Director of Health Care Reform and Senior Fellow. At TCF, Taylor lead the think tank’s work to build on the Affordable Care Act and develop the next generation of health reform to achieve high-quality, affordable, and universal coverage in America. A renowned health policy expert, Taylor also works on issues related to reproductive rights and justice, focusing on the structural barriers to access to health care, racial and gender disparities in health outcomes, and the intersections between health care and economic justice.
In 2010, Taylor graduated from Howard University with a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science. Taylor serves as a board member for March for Moms, National Quality Forum, and Mamatoto Village.
