Charity Quick Assumes Executive Director Position at AAOP
Washington, D.C. (June 28, 2023) The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) has named Charity Quick its next Executive Director. Quick has more than 25 years of leadership experience in professional associations, most recently as Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Biomedical Engineering Society. She will begin her new role on July 17.
Prior to leading the Biomedical Engineering Society, Quick was Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International. Her previous experience also includes serving as the Director of Operations at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, as well as both Vice President of Educational Programs and Vice President of Relationship Management at The Institute of Internal Auditors.
Quick earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Central Florida and a master’s in business administration from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. Additionally, she is a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
